Celebrating WiM's 15th Anniversary - Susanne Lauda Shares Her WiM Story

In honor of WiM's 15th anniversary year, we had the chance to talk with Susanne Lauda, Director of Global Advanced Manufacturing at AGCO Corporation, to honor and share her WiM story. Susanne served on the WiM Board of Directors from 2017 to 2020 and has been a strong supporter of women in the manufacturing industry. Read her feature below.

Why is WiM important to you?

WiM is important to me because it gives a voice to the many outstanding women in the manufacturing industry. It’s an organization where women, but also men, can network in a safe and professional environment, and at the same time have access to a wonderful education.

What is a highlight moment or a favorite memory from your time with WiM?

The annual SUMMITs, especially the one in San Diego. That was pretty amazing. It is such a great mix of networking, education, and personally, I enjoyed the 5K we had in San Diego.

How has WiM affected you personally and professionally?

I really received a lot of recognition for my engagement, and I also made a lot of friends along the way. I feel really proud — I was the one who made my employer back then the first corporate member. And WiM was very small at that time and now it has grown into a global organization, and that's absolutely fantastic.

How would you describe WiM in one word?

Networking and education.
