President's Message

Please enjoy this first official issue of our digital IMPACT e-newsletter. This reformatted bimonthly publication will continue to celebrate the outstanding efforts of our local Chapter leaders, national association activities, the Hear Her Story series, and more. New features will also be added throughout the year, including a special WiM On the Move section which will recognize individual advancements and achievements. As always, we want to highlight YOU, so if you have something exciting to share, please feel free to reach out to our team at any time.

This issue covers our active Chapters that now reside in more than 20 states and the inspirational stories of some of our amazing members. I had the pleasure of attending WiM Nebraska's launch party in April and was thrilled with the turnout. It was incredible to witness these women coming together to "support, promote, and inspire" manufacturers in their community. The energy and enthusiasm that the WiM Nebraska board displayed was infectious, and I look forward to seeing their future success! Our Chapters have hosted nearly 50 events within the first three months of our fiscal year. You can view their upcoming events, who runs these local teams, and more on the new WiM website.

Speaking of which, I hope you all take an opportunity to login to your profile and peruse the website. We just rolled this out a couple of weeks ago and so far, it has been a great success! As a member, you have complete control over your own profile and purchases. Check out this article which outlines how to get started.

And finally, here at headquarters, planning for the SUMMIT is in full swing. As you may have seen, our 9^th annual SUMMIT conference will be held in Denver, CO on September 9 – 11, 2019. Reach greater heights in your career by joining more than 450 of your peers for three days of inspiring keynotes, behind-the-scenes plant tours, interactive sessions, and ample networking opportunities.
