WiM Board Chair, 2020

Why is WiM important to you?

Women in Manufacturing has brought immeasurable value to my life—both professionally and personally. Professionally, I have learned, grown and felt truly valued and heard while contributing to a dynamic network of manufacturing professionals from across the country and around the world. Personally, through getting to know so many passionate members, serving on the National Board (and eventually as Chair), on the NC Chapter board, and now on the WiMEF board, I have forged inspiring and deep connections with remarkable women and allies. I continue to grow and learn, and the work WiM does is both inspiring and empowering, making a positive impact on the manufacturing industry.

What is a highlight moment or a favorite memory from your time with WiM?

I have two standout moments. The first is becoming a founding member of the WiMEF Foundation—not only to contribute to a cause I deeply believe in but also to inspire others to give and support the advancement of women in manufacturing. Remaining an active contributor has been incredibly fulfilling. The second is serving as the Chair of the WiM National Board. Being a part of WiM, making a meaningful impact, and collaborating with passionate board members and the WiM community has been an experience that words cannot fully capture. I have forged lifelong friendships and grown both personally and professionally through the wisdom and support of this incredible network of women and allies.

How has WiM affected you personally and professionally?

WiM has been a catalyst for both my personal and professional growth in profound ways. From my first experience as a panelist at WiM’s inaugural WiM South conference to my current roles on the NC Chapter Board and the WiMEF Board of Directors, I’ve found unwavering support, friendship and camaraderie. The education and inspiration I’ve gained through WiM have been invaluable. Most importantly, I’ve never felt like just one voice in the room—my contributions have always been valued, and that sense of belonging has made all the difference.

How would you describe WiM in one word?

Transformative.
