Many women and girls in Central Iowa struggle every month because they cannot afford basic period supplies. This can mean missing school or work, or resorting to unsafe alternatives—barriers no one should face simply because they menstruate.

On March 9, 2026, hundreds of volunteers will gather for International Women’s Day with the goal of assembling 9,000+ period packs so no woman is limited by lack of access to essential products.

Let’s join together as WiM Iowa members to support this mission and make a meaningful impact in our community. All proceeds will be donated back to Give Grace Give Hope.

To help us plan accurately, please only register you are confident you can attend. Your commitment ensures all seats are used and our group is well represented.

Give Grace, Give Hope was established to eliminate the gap between need and access of menstrual products in Iowa. This is accomplished by supplying pads and tampons to schools, human service organizations, and homeless shelters that serve low income women. This mission is important because if a woman doesn’t have access to menstrual products, she might improvise and take care of her period with unsanitary items that could cause infections, which could lead to medical bills. Women will also skip work, and girls will skip school when they lack access to products. Medical bills, skipping school, and missing work, all further the cycle
