Shinola

Shinola is an American luxury goods brand based in Detroit. It produces watches, bicycles, and leather goods, among other products. You will be taking a tour of Shinola's Manufacturing Plant located in the A. Alfred Taubman Building/Center for Design Education. Also known as the Argonaut Building, this location was once the research and engineering headquarters of General Motors. Today, they share this space with the College for Creative Studies and the Henry Ford Academy.

Ford, Van Dyke Transmission

Van Dyke Transmission Plant first opened its doors in 1968 and currently utilizes its 2-million-square foot facility to supply more than 70 different models of transmissions to six North American assembly plants and 12 overseas facilities. Transmissions built at Van Dyke Transmission include vehicles such as the Edge, Escape, Explorer and Flex, and are also used in the Transit Connect van.
