Join Women in Manufacturing – Southern Wisconsin for a Lunch & Learn hosted by GSC, focused on how the manufacturing industry continues to evolve and move forward in an ever-changing landscape.

This session will feature two industry speakers who will share insights, experiences, and perspectives on advancing manufacturing through innovation, leadership, and continuous improvement. Attendees can expect thoughtful discussion and practical takeaways applicable across roles and functions.

Whether you’re on the shop floor, in engineering, operations, supply chain, or leadership, this event is designed to spark ideas, encourage collaboration, and highlight the momentum shaping the future of manufacturing.

Betty Baker
Topic: Moving Manufacturing Forward

Bio:
Betty Baker is a Mechanical Design Engineer at Ashley Furniture, where she has built a storied career spanning more than 40 years in manufacturing and design. She is the long-standing leader of the La Crosse, Eau Claire, Winona Area (LEWA) SOLIDWORKS User Group, having been involved since its founding in 2002 and serving as group leader since 2004. Betty also serves as an Adjunct Instructor for CAD modeling at Western Technical College in La Crosse, Wisconsin, where she supports the development of the next generation of design professionals.

We will also be hosting a “Moving Manufacturing Forward” Bingo activity to encourage networking and peer connection.

Each attendee will receive a bingo card and will need to connect with other participants to find individuals who match the prompts on their card. The first attendee to complete five in a row will win a prize provided by WiM Southern Wisconsin.
