Learn about the step by step process of porcelain making. Participants will get a backstage visit to see the kiln, firing, silk screening, glazing and finishing processes where each piece is made by hand. Artisans will share their special techniques and approaches to bring the illustrations to life on ceramics and textiles

Ever been to Findlay Market and wondered more about the beautiful ceramic pottery there? Join us for a tour and early holiday shopping at the SKT Workshop in Walnut Hills!

SKT Ceramics is a women-owned studio where silk screened porcelain pieces are handcrafted by artisans! There are three production processes for our pottery forms: slip casting, ram pressing and hand-building. Slip cast and ram press molds are made in-house by master mold maker Jessie Rienerth. Art pieces are adorned with original SKT illustrations drawn by owner Susannah Tisue before the first firing. Each illustration is screen printed by hand with a colored clay onto rice paper - there are over 100 drawings to choose from!
