Join Girl Scouts of North East Ohio at our 8,000-square-foot STEM Center, an innovative space designed to inspire exploration in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Guests will have the opportunity to network, enjoy light refreshments, and participate in hands-on STEM activities similar to those experienced by Girl Scouts and K–12 students who visit the STEM Center throughout the year.
Examine insects with our microscopes in the Wet Lab, get your hands dirty with some power tools in our Workshop, and play around with coding robots in our TechLab, all while enjoying the Daley Family Campus for STEM Innovation at Camp Ledgewood in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
This family-friendly event is open to youth in grades 1st-12th. We encourage you to bring a girl in your life to explore the STEM Center, discover exciting STEM opportunities, and experience the power of hands-on learning.
About Girl Scouts of North East Ohio (GSNEO)
Girl Scouts of North East Ohio (GSNEO) serves 19,000 girls across 18 counties each year, supported by 9,000 dedicated adult members and volunteers. As the largest and most active female-led volunteer organization in the region, and one of the largest Girl Scout councils in the nation, GSNEO empowers girls to discover their strengths, develop leadership skills, and create positive change in their communities.
Through hands-on experiences, innovative programming, and hundreds of badge opportunities, including more than 160 STEM-focused badges, Girl Scouts gain the courage, confidence, and character to make the world a better place. As a girl-led, volunteer-driven organization, GSNEO is committed to ensuring that every girl has the opportunity to reach her full potential and become a leader in her community and beyond.
Why STEM?
The Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE) is built on four core program pillars, including Life Skills, Entrepreneurship, Outdoors, and STEM.
GSNEO is playing a role in changing the workforce pipeline in STEM to meet the urgent need for female voices, engagement, and leadership in the fastest growing sector of the U.S. economy. With a focus on high-quality, age-appropriate programs in engineering, computer science, and outdoor STEM, girls become increasingly interested, confident, and competent in STEM subjects.
