Women are driving innovation and leadership across manufacturing—often beginning their careers on the production floor. This panel will explore how women can grow from hands-on roles into management and executive positions. Our panelists will share real-world experiences, challenges they’ve navigated, skills they’ve leveraged, and the support systems that helped them rise. Attendees will leave with practical insights, actionable advice, and inspiration to chart their own leadership paths within manufacturing.
Marina Ivanov, CEO and Co-founder of Apex Transit Solutions. About Marina: I bring a lifetime connection to trucking and a practical, operations-first approach to leadership. Raised in the industry as the daughter of an owner-operator, I gained early exposure to how transportation actually works — on the road, in the cab, and behind the numbers.
I currently serve on the leadership team at APEX Transit Solutions, a family-owned, asset-based logistics provider. As part of the company from its early formation, I have held responsibility across core business functions including operations, sales, human resources, safety, planning, and pricing. This cross-functional experience allows me to lead with a full understanding of cost, risk, compliance, and execution, and to make decisions grounded in real operational impact.
In addition to my executive role, I am actively engaged in industry leadership and advocacy. I serve on the Boards of the North Carolina Trucking Association (NCTA), North Carolina LTL Association (NCLTL), and NAWBDO, and I previously served as Chair of the NC Women in Trucking Council. My work centers on workforce development, safety standards, and advancing sustainable, responsible growth across the transportation sector.
My leadership and community contributions have been recognized through multiple industry and civic awards, reflecting a consistent commitment to service, accountability, and results.
I lead with a long-term view of this industry — focused on building strong organizations, developing people, and ensuring transportation remains resilient, safe, and forward-looking.
