Nucor's Tubular Products group was formed in 2016 when the company entered the tube market, and today it produces HSS steel tubing, mechanical steel tubing, piling, sprinkler pipe, galvanized tube, heat-treated tubing, and electrical conduit. The Ghent facility is one of the newest in the group, built on the campus of the Nucor Steel Gallatin sheet mill in Gallatin County. The mill produces galvanized solar torque tube, HSS tube, and mechanical tubing serving the construction, infrastructure, and renewable energy markets.
