We will learn about the UConn Institute of Materials Science and their Industrial Affiliates Program.
We will tour the CAMMA (Center for Advanced Microscopy and Materials Analysis) labs, Reverse Engineering labs that are located in the UConn Innovation Partnership Building. 
After CAMMA, we will drive to the Institute of Materials Science building and tour its core labs. 
When we are finished with the tours, we will enjoy some ice-cream and networking.We can't wait to see you there!

About UConn IMS:

IMS was established in 1965 as an advanced materials research center, providing graduate research education in the interdisciplinary fields of materials science and engineering.

It operates a wide range of state of the art laboratories, among which are Electrical Insulation Research Center; Center for Advanced Microscopy and Materials Analysis (CAMMA) laboratory, as well as the Xray facility in the Innovation Partnership building.

IMS support facilities include Clean Room and a machine shop.

The Institute is home to the Industrial Affiliates Program, an industry outreach program that provides materials characterization and analysis services to Connecticut companies. This program provides many benefits for member companies, including access to facilities and faculty at UConn, technical programming, and other resources that assist in materials-related problem solving for industry.
