Join WiM California for a virtual meeting open to all registered members of the WiM California Chapter. Our monthly meetings will include an intro from our Chair, with updates on events and upcoming opportunities, and an educational session led by a guest speaker focused on a timely and relevant topic.
The WiM CA chapter provides excellent opportunities for you to expand your local network, build valuable business relationships, and enjoy industry-related programming.

Women leaders with great ideas still get stuck—here's how to change that. This session helps women leaders translate strong thinking into action—without over-explaining, pushing harder, or waiting for permission.
Participants will learn how to:
*Position ideas for approval by applying strategic business thinking with a simple, yet powerful framework
*Navigate the political landscape by understanding how power and influence work within your organization
*Use framing and storytelling so leaders can say “yes” faster, with clear trade-offs, risks, and next steps
Speaker: Laura Flessner, CEO & Founder, Mindtap
Laura coaches diverse professionals—including women, minorities, introverts, LGBTQIA+, and neurodiverse leaders—to break through bias and rise with power and purpose. Her work fuses neuroscience and innovation to spark real change.
She is a diverse professional herself (woman, Asian, introvert, looks really young) and is on a mission to empower others to lead authentically, at any level—from student to CEO.
Laura had been in corporate innovation for 17 years before starting Mindtap in 2020. She began her career as an engineer and expanded her experience to innovation and business roles. She’s worked for top Global Consumer Product Goods (CPG) and Pharmaceutical companies, such as Procter & Gamble, Pfizer & GSK.
For the past 5 years, Laura has been coaching, training, and speaking through her own company, Mindtap LLC. (ThinkMindtap.com). Her work spans across industries, from Technology (Oracle) to Power Management (Eaton) to Accounting (PwC) to Chemicals (Dow) and more.
Laura lives in Bridgewater, NJ with her husband, 3 kids (ages 14 & under), and 2 rescue dogs.
