People want feedback—and they need it to grow. Yet in high-stakes environments like manufacturing, the fear of saying the wrong thing can hold people back. You may wonder: “What if I discourage a top operator?” or “What if they take it the wrong way and morale drops?” Avoiding the conversation might feel safer, but it’s not the solution.
Leaders have a responsibility to engage with their teams in a way that is courageous, compassionate, and constructive. With over 30 years of experience as an HR professional and executive coach, Joan Hibdon frequently hears the same concern: “My voice or opinion doesn’t matter.” Or, “I need to give someone feedback, but I don’t know what to say—what do I do?” In this session, Joan will share practical answers to those and other questions—offering proven strategies for delivering meaningful feedback that strengthens relationships and improves results.
Attendees will walk away with:
• A renewed sense of confidence and voice
• A clearer understanding of why feedback matters—especially in manufacturing
• Common barriers that prevent effective feedback
• Tools to deliver the right feedback, to the right person, at the right time
• Real-life stories, research insights, and techniques to voice and use your voice, develop relationships, and build a culture where feedback fuels performance
Put feedback back where it belongs—at the center of a thriving, resilient workplace.
