#BreakTheBias International Women’s Day Coffee Break

Presented by Southwire and Women in Manufacturing (WiM)

March 11, 10:00-11:00 a.m. EST
Free to attend!

Please join Southwire and WiM for a special Coffee Break session, focusing on the International Women’s Day theme #BreakTheBias.

International Women’s Day takes place on March 8, and Southwire and WiM are excited to celebrate and spread awareness on this theme throughout March, which is also Women's History Month. To kick things off, we are hosting a one-hour coffee break session, starting with a few key panelists discussing the purpose of Women’s History Month, this year’s theme, how they have experienced it in their career, and what it means to them. After the 20-minute panel discussion, we will break out into groups to discuss various ways employees in the manufacturing space experience bias and how we can work to overcome it.

Moderator: Allison Grealis, President & Founder, Women in Manufacturing

Panelists:

  • Cara Herzog - Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Southwire
  • LaKisha Wilson - VP, Safety & Security, Southwire
  • Yuhsin Hawig - VP, Applications Engineering, Southwire

This opportunity is open to both women and men across various organizations within the manufacturing space, and Southwire is excited to partner with WiM on this opportunity.
