Professional Bio

As the Vice President of Government Affairs at Magna International Inc., Misti drives the company’s global strategy across government relations, economic and workforce development, education, and advocacy. She serves as Magna’s lead voice with policymakers, industry organizations, and community leaders worldwide, and oversees global incentive programs exceeding $500 million.

A seasoned leader with more than 30 years in government, legal, and consumer affairs, Misti has shaped policy across automotive, transportation, manufacturing, education, and healthcare. Before joining Magna in 2016, she held senior roles at Stellantis, advising boards and executives on geopolitical risk, trade strategy, and regulatory affairs. Her expertise in securing competitive advantage through incentives and global funding strategies is recognized across industries.

Misti was appointed to the Michigan Women’s Commission by Governor Gretchen Whitmer in 2020. She is Past President of the Women in Manufacturing Association (WiM) board, Past Chair of the National Lieutenant Governors Association Partners Program, and a 2022 Crain’s Notable LGBTQ in Business honoree. In 2024, she was inducted into the WiM Hall of Fame.

She serves on the boards of the Canadian American Business Council, Canada China Business Council, Public Affairs Council, Global Business Alliance, International Economic Development Council, South Carolina Business Council, Detroit Regional LGBT Chamber of Commerce, and the Foster Care Review Board of Oakland County, Michigan. She’s also active with the Automotive Women’s Alliance Foundation, Southern Automotive Women’s Forum, State department Government Affairs Council, and the Center for Regional Economic Competitiveness.
