Heather Hopkins began her career as a mechanical engineer working on the construction of the UC Merced campus, an experience that shaped her belief that lasting success is built through both technical excellence and strong leadership.

Today, Heather serves as a Leadership Advisor with Wingspan Performance, partnering with manufacturing and industrial organizations to strengthen leaders, improve performance, and create healthy, accountable cultures. Her career spans engineering, operations, manufacturing leadership, project management, and executive coaching, providing a unique perspective on the challenges facing today’s workforce.

Heather has led multi-million-dollar initiatives, managed manufacturing operations, and coached leaders from frontline supervisors to executive teams. She combines practical business experience with expertise in leadership development, helping organizations translate strategy into execution through people.

As a member of the North Carolina Women in Manufacturing Board, Heather is passionate about advancing women in manufacturing and creating opportunities for future leaders to grow, connect, and succeed.
