Call for Volunteers

Women in Manufacturing® (WiM) is seeking qualified volunteers for several of our operational Task Forces. Play an active role in shaping the future of WiM and supporting our mission to support, promote, and inspire women in the manufacturing industry. Connect and work collaboratively with other leaders from the WiM community and share your unique expertise with WiM.

Review the description for each task force below and submit your information if you would like to volunteer. Your application will be submitted to the relative lead for the specific task force that you're interested in for review. You will be notified whether you have been selected by May 15, 2021. We appreciate your support!

Hall of Fame Task Force

This group will meet with WiM/WiMEF staff monthly beginning 6 months out from the Women in Manufacturing Hall of Fame. The task force will assist with agenda recommendations, sponsor referrals, input on marketing for the gala, and any other items related to the Women in Manufacturing Hall of Fame Inductions Celebration and Gala taking place on October 6, 2021 in Cleveland, OH.


Fundraising Task Force

The WiMEF Fundraising Task Force will meet monthly to discuss WiM Education Foundation fundraising strategy. Topics discussed will include (but are not limited to) ideas and timelines for implementing individual fundraising campaigns, grant opportunities, key donor prospecting for corporate giving, fundraising platform research and recommendations, fundraising event ideas, and support with silent auction planning, prospecting, and execution.


Membership Task Force

The Membership Task Force will meet monthly to discuss all membership types and benefits. Topics discussed will include (but are not limited to) current benefits, new benefits, membership types and new ideas and timelines for implementing any new membership types or benefits for the association.


Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Task Force

The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Task Force was formed in the fall of 2020 in response to changing needs of WiM members, both individual and Corporate, and evolving best practices for professional associationsThis Task Force is focused on ensuring that WiM and the WiMEF actively develop programming that provides Corporate Members with tools for creating and advancing informed DE&I initiatives within their organizations. Additionally, the Task Force is committed to ensuring that WiM provides individual members with resources geared towards overcoming and impacting DE&I related challenges in their careers. Individuals selected for the DE&I Task Force will demonstrate an active interest in improving diversity, equity, and inclusion within their own organization and the manufacturing industry. DE&I Task Force members should work for a current WiM Corporate Member company in a director-level or senior role related to DE&I, HR, or Workforce Development.
