Call for Directors
The Women in Manufacturing Association is always seeking passionate, strategic leaders to help guide our mission and advance the impact of women across the manufacturing industry. Serving on the Board of Directors is an opportunity to shape the future of the association, contribute industry expertise, and support the growth, advocacy, and leadership development of women in manufacturing. If you are interested in being considered for a board seat, please complete the interest form below. Submissions will be reviewed as opportunities become available.
Criteria for Consideration:
- Number of years of service in the industry – Typically candidates with a minimum of 10 years of experience are best positioned for board service.
- Areas of expertise – Our organization is often looking for candidates with strengths in operations, new product development, marketing, business development, human resources, accounting, legal, and more.
- Organizational leadership – Candidates on the WiM Association and WiM Education Foundation Boards of Directors are typically at C-suite level or above, but WiM also welcomes a small percentage of directors who are earlier in their careers or who have led at the WiM chapter level, to add unique and invaluable insights as we make decisions and plans.
- Industry and organizational involvement – Exemplary board candidates are active in the manufacturing industry through speaking at conferences, membership in other industry associations and organizations, and potential current or past service on other organizational boards. WiM also looks for demonstrated past participation in the Women in Manufacturing Association nationally and/or locally.
