The Women in Manufacturing Association (WiM) is seeking a Marketing and Communications Specialist to support day-to-day marketing operations and ensure that all materials align with WiM and the Women in Manufacturing Education Foundation (WiMEF) branding. The Marketing and Communications Specialist will assist in promoting membership and events and collaborate with internal team members to execute campaigns and initiatives effectively. support the creation and distribution of content across marketing channels, including email, social media, website, and more. In addition to core responsibilities, this individual will actively support special projects and organizational initiatives, bringing creativity, organization, and a strong sense of collaboration to the role.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Develop and execute marketing plans to support WiM and WiMEF programs and events.
  • Coordinate marketing tasks with relevant staff members and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  • Support digital marketing activities, including posting and scheduling to social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, X, Instagram).
  • Draft, format, and distribute marketing emails.
  • Update and maintain website content.
  • Assist with basic data collection and reporting on campaign performance (email open rates, social engagement, etc.).
  • Coordinate with vendors and designers to produce promotional materials and marketing graphics.
  • Collaborate with external partners to exchange and fulfill marketing deliverables, ensuring timely and accurate execution of partnership commitments.
  • Develop interview questions for Hear Her Story podcast episodes and support marketing efforts to promote each release.
  • Assist in the development of presentations for speaking engagements, board meetings, etc.
  • Maintain communications calendars for social media and direct emails to ensure alignment and organization across departments.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all materials and campaigns.
  • Assist in updating and organizing marketing collateral and digital assets.
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience in a marketing, communications, or related support role
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with social media platforms and scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite)
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms
  • Experience updating websites using a content management system (CMS)
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments
  • Mission-driven and aligned with WiM’s goals
Preferred But Not Required:
  • Experience with a CRM or Association Management System
  • Basic graphic design or layout skills (experience with Canva, Adobe Suite)
  • Experience with survey tools and report generation
