Management Development Program 

The Management Development Program provides new and aspiring supervisors, managers and team leads with training to develop skills that are necessary for managerial success. As an interactive series of live, virtual workshops, the Management Development Program helps women develop authentic and effective leadership skills that enhance their competitive advantage and added value in the manufacturing workplace.

Program Details

Program audience: Female manufacturing professionals with three or less years of experience and/or individuals interested in becoming a manager or supervisor.  

Examples of past participant job titles include: Engineering Administrator, Sales Manager, Executive Assistant, Operational Perfect, Associate Manager, Office Manager and Industry Analyst.

Program description: This is a two-week, virtual program with a 90-minute virtual workshop per day. Each virtual workshop is interactive, engaging, and facilitated by an expert with plenty of opportunity to share your ideas, ask questions, interact with your peers, and document how you plan to practice your new skills in the workplace.

With each cohort limited to 30 participants, this is a personalized learning environment for women enhanced by one-on-one coaching, peer networking, and a facilitated DiSC skills assessment. This program provides new and future managers with valuable leadership skills for success throughout their manufacturing career.

Since the program's inception in 2017, more than 140 leaders have graduated from the WiM Education Foundation's Management Development Program. Graduates have transitioned successfully into leadership roles, added more value to their companies and served as role models for other women in the industry. This program is offered for women, women-identifying individuals, and non-binary and gender-nonconforming people.
